Card Creations

I am trying to catalog all of the cards I make on here. I am posting pictures of as many as I can, and then blogging about them as time goes.  It's cool to see all I have completed, and how my card making has evolved. It's also handy to come back here and use these pictures as guides for future projects. Please feel free to use these as guides for your own projects as well. Enjoy!

Valentine's Day Cards

With Valentine's Day approaching quickly, I was in the mood to post a couple of cards appropriate for the occasion. Cards are fun to make because they only take a few minutes, you can have a lot of fun is 'accessories', and people love getting cards in the mail (even if many of us worship the email gods now).

This one is a personal favorite. Blue and Pink are by far the two best colors in the whole world! I am always thrilled when I can find ways to incorporate both in a project. This card is made with Stampin' Up stamps, along with coordinating cardstock and ribbon from my stash. The flowers are from a set called "Garden Silhouettes" and the sentiment is from "Wonderful Words".

This stamp, also from Stampin' Up, is called "So Many Sayings".  It is a set of three stamps that have so many phrases on them you could make a card for just about any occasion.  It has wonderful flexibility.  I went super simple with this, but you could add hearts, or change the color scheme to make it more whimsical. Lots of fun!

Yes, I am a Stampin' Up junky.  This set, called "Simple Florals" offers variety in how you use them.  I have eliminated the vase before to make just a flower, or in this case include the vase. I used the chalks to add color, and a little ribbon for depth.  Dollar spots and ribbon sales are always trouble; almost as much as fabric. The sentiment stamped on this card is from Close to my Heart and called "For Every Occasion" and it truly is! I have used this set more times than I can remember.  It is my go-to when I am looking for a sentiment.

I thought I was doing better with pictures, but clearly still need to improve my lighting.  Hope you enjoyed the cards. Hope to get some more soon.
