Weekly Menu, August 21

It’s been a while. Last summer really got away from me. It felt more like two days, not two months. We did so much and had a wonderful time, but now it’s back to life. Back to school, homework, afterschool clubs, and fall sports. Back to crazy schedules and lots of running around to get things done. I am feeling excited about the change.

I am also starting to feel more optimistic about experimenting in the kitchen again. My kids are not great with change and trying new things. I don’t often hear much cheering when I try a new dish, but I am feeling better about trying again. My husband calls it rose-colored glasses…I am good with that.

This week I have a couple different pinterest meals to try. I have also been trying out some different snack ideas that I hope to post about soon. I need to get some more recipes going on the blog again. I really do have some different things I’ve loved including peanut butter clusters and popcorn balls. I’d also like to get some of my one-pan meals and potato sides on here.  Lots of goals for this fall; I’m really feeling good!

I have really been craving Italian food, in case you couldn’t tell.  Ha ha! I have also been crazing Mexican food but that’s a little trickier to post about. It’s usually thrown together last minute.  Alright, so sorry for the unannounced break but it’s good to be back. Have a yummy week!
