Weekly Menu, Feb 6

I am going to be completely honest with you…last week I was just struggling to feel the foodie vibe. I didn’t want to do any of it and I had a hard time sticking to the menu.

I don’t what happened but come Sunday I was feeling the kitchen craze and had way too much fun! I made French toast with homemade egg bread, then I made rolls for our gameday hotdogs and burgers, but worried they weren’t rising well so I made a second batch (they all came out fine). Finally, I wanted to try making curly fries with my new spiralizer. They turned out amazing! I’d share a photo but they didn’t last long enough for me to pull out the camera. I will definitely need to post about those.

After all that food, I have a bit of a “foodie hangover”. It could be related to all the carbs, which is why this week I would love to stick to veggies and call it good. Unfortunately, I think the rest of the house wouldn’t be so hip to that so here we are.

I am still trying to keep the meals lean, focus on proteins and veggies and skip the carbs where I can. Hopefully I’ll be able to get some running in to help as well. That will definitely help me to feel better.
