Weekly Menu, August 7

The time has arrived! They are going back! I can't believe summer is officially over and we are heading back into another school year. Everyone is very excited. Last week my son started karate...he's in love! I'm hoping it will help him with coordination and focus for other sports we'll try this year. I think it's going to be a good year for him.
I had to mix up the schedule a bit with changes, including trying the meatballs on Wednesday so they'd be ready when we got home from karate and bumping stew meat for this week (I just couldn't find the energy to cook that night, ha ha). So, I tried to lay out a menu that would work with our schedule changes, but there's no guarantee. I'm sure it will continue to change as we get used to our new year.

I am particularly excited to try sloppy joes. I'm not sure why but my kids haven't tried this yet. It used to be one of my fave's. I also look forward to trying the ham steak from Costco. My Mom has made it a couple times and it's super yummy. Hubs isn't such a fan of ham so we'll see how it goes. Oh, and FYI, I am lovin' the kefir shakes. I am still figuring out some recipes that I like, but it's been a winner so far. Here's to a week of excitement and enjoyment as we march off to new adventures!
